SouthLAnd Review

February 23, 2010

A couple weeks ago I received this email:

Hello,
I know  this wouldn’t be a normal thing for your blog, but considering your audience – but would you consider a TV review?  I’m writing about SouthLAand.  It’s not often that a TV show beloved by fans and critics alike is  abruptly taken off the air. This happened to the gritty LA police drama, SouthLAnd, when NBC reconfigured its prime time lineup after the first season.  And we know how that turned out.

Lucky for fans, SouthLAnd has a new home on TNT, starting with the never-before-seen premiere of Season 2 on March 2nd.  From the beaches of Malibu to the streets of East Los Angeles, SouthLAnd is a fast paced drama that takes viewers inside the lives of cops, criminals, victims and their families.
I have an exclusive extended sneak peek of Season 2 that includes exclusive commentary from the cast and directors.  Reply with an address and I’ll get it to you asap!

In addition, if the SouthLAnd Facebook Fan page grows to 75,000 people by February 23rd, the stars will be doing a live chat with their fans on March 2nd!  I look forward to hearing from you.

I felt special for about two minutes before I realized that they probably just did a Google search for blogs about police stuff and sent out a mass email.  But still, pretty cool.  I did actually watch the show when it was on and enjoyed it.  I should be getting my screener any day now (using the word screener makes me feel so Hollywood) and I’ll get a review up.  Stay tuned.
